Breakwater Studio: Art, Crafts and Gift Studio
A warm welcome awaits at Breakwater Studio. Artist Yvonne Braithwaite and her husband Robert live and work at this idyllic Studio, which lies between Pier 1 and Pier 2 in Church Bay, where seals can be seen basking on the rocks directly opposite the front door.
Yvonne is inspired by the spectacular views across Rathlin Sound to Ballycastle. Eider Ducks, Guillemots and Oyster Catchers fill the bay. Yvonne creates exclusive paintings of Rathlin and beyond and using her own images and designs, she has produced tea towels, aprons, cards and prints, which can all be purchased at Breakwater Studio.
The Studio also stocks an extensive range of giftware including, “Made Local” ceramics, jewellery, soaps and candles. A range of “Crocheted with Love” knitwear (carefully handmade by daughter, Tanya) includes scarves, hats, gloves, headbands and much more.
The much-loved puffins, known as the clowns of the sea, are in abundance at Breakwater Studio.
