Building Community Resilience from Scientific and Artistic Research on Greenland

 

A Future Island-Island event

 

Join Danish artist and researcher Lise Autogena as she explores community resilience from an island perspective, inspired by interdisciplinary research on Greenland.

 

Lise Autogena is a Danish artist, researcher and Professor in Cross Disciplinary Art at Sheffield Hallam University. Her practice-led research has involved large scale performances, site-specific works, and multimedia installations, developed in collaboration with organisations and individuals across many diverse disciplinary and specialist fields. She is the founder and manager of Narsaq International Research Station (NIRS), an independent, non- profit research platform with a focus on cultural and scientific research in South Greenland. She was recently awarded the national Lifelong Honorary Award by the Statens Kunstfond, the Danish Art Foundation.

  • Attendance is free. You can reserve your place on Eventbrite.
  • Please make sure to book ferry tickets in advance, as well as accommodation if staying overnight. The last ferries leave the island at 16:30, and not all ferries accept luggage.
