We are saddened to learn of the passing of Michael McCuaig in Glasgow earlier today. Michael was born and raised on Rathlin, and with his wife Margaret – who passed away last year – frequently visited the island and his brother, the late Loughie McCuaig until very recently.

Our condolences to the whole family.

Edit: Michael’s funeral arrangements have been confirmed; Friday the 13th of December, 10.00am Requiem Mass at St Gabriel’s in Merrylee Road, 11.00am Committal at Hurlet Crematorium on Glasgow Road. There won’t be a livestream of the funeral mass but there will be a link available for the crematorium service which will be posted closer to the time.
