Alongside Gusty McCurdy‘s long experience of published works on Rathlin, the past month saw two new books launched on the island.

On Saturday 28 May, the island’s new publishing company Rathlin Island Books launched ‘HMS Drake. Rathlin Island Shipwreck’ by Ian Wilson, author of ‘Shipwrecks of the Ulster Coast’. Then on Friday 10 June, Philip Watson launched his ‘Rathlin – Nature and Folklore’. Both books were launched very successfully in the Manor House, and both are available online, and in several retailers on Rathlin and the mainland.
